The National Debt Management Center announces the closure of February 2023 issuance under the Saudi Arabian Government SAR-denominated Sukuk Program. The total amount of all bids received was SAR 3.713 Bn and the total amount allocated was set at SAR 3.657Bn (Three billion and six hundred and fifty seven million Saudi Riyals).
The Sukuk issuance was divided into two tranches as follows:
- The first tranche has a size of SAR 3.225 Bn (Three billion and two hundred and twenty five million Saudi Riyals) maturing in (2031).
- The second tranche has a size of SAR 433 Mn (Four hundred and thirty three million Saudi Riyals) maturing in (2037).
By this issuance, the NDMC stated that it completed the funding of refinancing needs for the year 2023 and, In accordance with the Annual Borrowing Plan, it will continue to consider additional funding activities subject to market conditions and through available funding channels locally or internationally through debt markets and government alternative financing. This is to ensure the Kingdom's continuous presence in debt markets and to manage the debt repayments for the coming years, in addition to facilitating the financing of capital expenditures and infrastructure projects which will contribute to promoting economic growth while taking into account market movements and the risk management of the sovereign debt portfolio.
